Right now Supernatural is my favorite show; like any show it has its shortcomings and sometimes even epically fails, sigh, but I haven't been so emotionally affected by two main characters as I am by Sam and Dean since my Mulder/Scully days. I LOVE Sam and Dean and the whole complex, angsty, dyfunctional nature of their hopelessly intertwined lives; I love the gritty, urban America feel of the show, the music, just all of that. But mainly I am totally gone on the relationship between the brothers. As for my favorite show ever, it would have to be a 3-way tie, ha; in high school I was completely obsessed with Starsky and Hutch and the friendship/bond between those two characters; I guess you can tell for me it's primarily a case of first being into the characters and then the actual plot lines/story. I still love my S&H dvd marathons I sometimes indulge in, ha. Second would be The X Files; I was like deranged over that show, at least for the first four years. Sadly it all went to hell for me in the latter seasons and the show became such a terrible mess I couldn't even watch it. But when the show first aired I was pretty much obsessed with Mulder and Scully and with the dark, foreboding, subversively creepy atmosphere of the series and its paranoia about secret societies and govts hiding information and aliens who were NOT here for our best interests, etc. I guess all-time fave #4 would be the original Star Trek, ha; came on when I was only 4 or 5 and I grew up watching it and the reruns over and over and became a certified Trekkie/Trekker and went to conventions, etc. ha. I have photos still of myself with Nichelle Nichols and Deforest Kelly and George Takei, etc and lots of great memories associated with that show and my fellow fans.
