Despite the doctor's promise that I would be well enough by Monday to go back to work, I still feel like hell. Not as bad as before, but the little buglets in my tonsils have rallied against the saviour PenV and the pain has gotten worse. Plus other things have not cleared up completely like gross drainage from the tonsicles. My fever - which was never that high - has at least gone bye-bye. The swelling in my neck - on the right side - has not gone down. Still hurts to touch. I made the rounds of phone calls - dad, student, and of course work - saying that I wouldn't be in to work tomorrow. I found out I am not the only one from work with strep throat! I have no idea who I got it from.

Sickness or no, tomorrow is trash day, so I had to force myself to do some cleaning and tossing. I got the kitties a new litter box. I cleaned their potty room/store room, carpet-cleaned some nastier spots on the carpet therein, organized the supplies (litter, dog pads, tissues, TP, paper towels, new Green Machine carpet cleaner) and collected almost two bags worth of recycling stuff and two of trash.

On a sadder note, during the cleaning, at some unnoticed minute of the day, my coffeemaker died.

That makes the - fifth? - electronic contraption to go kaput on me since I moved to this flat last December.

As much as I would love to take a nap, I have to finish the cleaning and get the rest of the trash out to the curb before I plotz.

I wonder if it is time to take more ibuprofen....

ouch! It has been a long time since I have had strep, but I remember being absolutely miserable. I hope you get feeling better soonest.

Also - wow about the cleaning up. You got a LOT done today.

*hugs from a distance*
